Review of the Eilik The Smart A.I. Robot
This company is a startup but what a wonderful little robot. It’s sensors on its head, belly and back so reacts to being petted or knocked on the head. It also reacts to being lifted in the air. It responds to the user in a large variety of ways, both through the led faceplate and its arms. Several fun games can be played. I’d recommend this for a child, who is careful with their things, of about 8 or 9 years and up or a geeky adult of 120 and down. It doesn’t move the bottom of its body, which is a base. The updates are fairly easy to do via the app of their website. The battery longevity is great, it can stay unplugged, but shut down, for several days. With playtime, where the interaction is occasional, probably a day easily enough. However, for constant interaction, refer to what the manufacturer advertised. The items it comes with though are cute but pretty useless. The magnets they come with don’t stick to the items and the robot doesn’t recognize which item it’s holding or that it’s holding anything. I’m looking forward to updates for this little guy and I’m not sure if the electronics support it, but plugged into a computer, with the appropriate software, A.I could make this little guy pretty darn interesting in it’s capacity to respond to the user. Definitely recommend it.
